Lori Torres, LMFT is a designated AAMFT Approved Supervisor. An AAMFT Approved Supervisor Designation is the highest and the most prestigious designation in the marriage and family therapy field. Approved Supervisors fulfill stringent education and clinical training requirements to achieve this designation and serve as mentors in helping the next generation of marriage and family therapists.
I am an experienced supervisor with 10 years of clinical practice and 4 years providing Supervision. I’ve worked in both Community Mental Health/Agency and private practice settings. My work utilizes an integrative, collaborative theoretical approach with main influences including family systems, solution-focused, narrative, experiential, and trauma informed theories. Skilled in working with diverse populations with a array of presenting concerns in individual, family/couple, and group formats, I am able to meet the needs of most trainees.
In addition to LMFTAs-in-training, I am now also providing Approved Supervisor Mentorship to supervisor candidate who wishes to become AAMFT Approved Supervisors.
